Re: Email - SMTP

Make sure you are not using EDGE or CHROME for a web browser to make the changes, they are both built on Chromium and have the issue of not saving some settings and even occasionally messing up password fields.I always thought it was just on Xerox equipment, but it seems to be occuring on Xerox/Konica/FujiXerox and Samsung as well (The B2XX series is re-badged and slightly modified Samsung devices)

Email - SMTP

Product Name: Xerox B215 Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

Hi,

I am a newbie Xerox owner and am trying to get the email functionality on my B215 device working. I use virginmedia SMTP so have the following settings but it is still not working.

smtp.virginmedia.com:465

What I have noticed in the CentreWare screens is that under services->Email I can't change the SMTP port, it is stuck at 25. The field is editable but when you apply changes it is reverted back. I have auto discover disabled and am using host name.

I have also noticed that under authentication I can't select authenticated user, again the fields are editable but this time the radio button above can't be changed.

Any ideas as to how I can get to the point where I can use the settings I beleive I should have set-up?

Thanks,

Kevin
