Re: Email configuration test returns instant Login Erro

@FrustratedUser71

Based on your posted pics...

1. Is the email server host name suppose to be relay?

2. Is the port suppose to be 25 (rare these days)?

3. Does this connection require encryption and outgoing authentication?

Google the latest SMTP settings required for gmail servers to make sure these are correct for your configuration.

4. Also, the primary DNS (.14) looks suspect to me as well, unless you have a custom/dedicated DNS server on your network that (.14) is pointing to? Is (.14) also an email server? And the node that these screenshots were taken on?

Re: Email configuration test returns instant Login Erro

FrustratedUser71,

Thank you for the information.  The firmware on your device is old (06/17) and needs to be updated first.

Please review the "Install doc for Wc72xx" link or engage Xerox Customer Support to assist you.

I hope this helps.

Re: Email configuration test returns instant Login Erro

FrustratedUser71,

What Firmware Level is the machine at currently?

Is there an error code when it fails?

There are additonal settings you need to share such as the Connection Encryption settings.

Please let us know.

Re: Email configuration test returns instant Login Erro

FrustratedUser71,

The orginal posts were a little dated.  Will you please provide information on your device?

This would include:

Model?

Firmware Level?

SMTP Settings (screenshot would work great)?

Were you provided a Log number when you worked with Support?

Did your email settings every work? If yes, when did they stop working?

Any other information you would deem relevant.

Thank you.

Has anyone figured this out yet? I am having the EXACT same issue. Followed all the steps from the support center on set and I just keep getting this error

Re: Email configuration test returns instant Login Erro

Can you post a screenshot of the SMTP settings from CWIS? With that we may be able to recommend adjustments.

There are many other undocumented settings that can affect SMTP connectivity as well. Also be sure to disable certificate validation. If you don't see an option for this in the SMTP setup, you may want to upgrade your software.

By the way...

The software that you mentioned (073.010.075.34540) is very outdated 2015 software... and I cannot confirm that it supports the minimum security that gmail smtp servers now require.

Email configuration test returns instant Login Erro

Product Name: WorkCentre 7830/7835/7845/7855
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

Help - we're going nuts here. Scan to email worked just fine. Then suddenly stopped working.

Could not login to the sending mail server (SMTP). Email test says login error.  Sending email address is a gmail.com address. We had changed our Google password, but have updated the password via CWIS. We've also followed all advice we can find in this support forum, regarding SMTP settings and all that. We've tested with all previous iterations of passwords, told Google to work with less secure apps, upgraded Xerox software to 073.010.075.34540. All three From: addresses match. What have we missed, or misconfigured?
