Re: Erratic touch screen on Altalink 8055

Hi,

I had one machine with outlet power grounding issue. Moving it in another power source the issue was disappear.

Before that I replaced the touch screen and it's communication cable without success.

Also the artificial lighting (Flourescent light interference) in room may affect the functionality of the touch screen.

Another issue of this type of touch can be a bad connection in plug/jack's.

Altalink doesn't have touchscreen calibration and you may need to contact Xerox Support Centre.

We have 3 machines doing this in two different locations, so I wouldn't think the power source would be the issue.

It's a capacitive touch screen and the issue maybe because of your power source. Try with the different power source.

Erratic touch screen on Altalink 8055

Product Name: AltaLink C8030 / C8035 / C8045 / C8055 / C8070 Color Multifunction Printer

We have an Altalink running the (current) latest version of software.

The button pushes on the touch screen are erratic, you can see the button going down and it makes the sound but it doesn't do anything.

Can the touch screen be calibrated?
