I have a rand new 6515 may have printed 6 papers myself total. This code comes up right after it is started. I am lost as what to do. Please help. I resent new software update.

I would have tried the lens/ccd assembly first.

I changed the iit / ips plate and got the same problem

Usually a bad lens/ccd assembly will cause this but it could be other things related to the scanner such as the iit/ips pwb.

Scanner fault.

Shut down and wait 3 minutes then turn on.

If still faulted, login as admin and go to Machine Status . Tools > Device Settings > Tests and Resets > Software Reset > Reset Both > Confirm

After reboot try again, if it still faults there is likely a hardware based issue, you could try re-seating the ADF cable
