Re: Error message for FTP server in Xerox 8900 "Failure transferring job to network server&

Odd that the path isn't "ReceptionScan/Scan"

That sheet should have a status code listed as well as the information you provided.

At this point it would probably be faster to call in to Xerox for support.

Re: Error message for FTP server in Xerox 8900 "Failure transferring job to network server&

Hello,

I do not have an error number. it prints a status page with "job details" as title. I have copied what it says

Destination 1       Status....FAILED

Status Details:     Failed transferring job to network server

FriendlyName      FriendlyName

server Name       XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:21
Path                     Path

Protocol              FTP

Filling Policy         Add Number

Do I have to enable somthing on the 8900 to see an error number?

Cheers

What is the number to the error? It sounds like a rights issue.

Re: Error message for FTP server in Xerox 8900 "Failure transferring job to network server&quot

Hello ,

thank you for your input. I have just enable FTP Mozilla as well as change Path :

I have tested connectivity to the FTP server and it is woking.

I have the path changed to "ReceptionScan/Scan". it is printed on the error sheet

However, I have a new error and it is "Status Details: Failure transferring job to network server"

Any new suggestions to this new error message?

Cheers

Re: Error message for FTP server in Xerox 8900 "Failure transferring job to network server&quot

Get the leading and trailing  /'s out of the document path, it is added by the system automatically so the machine will be going to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx//Folder/SubFolder// which is impossible.

Re: Error message for FTP server in Xerox 8900 "Failure transferring job to network server"

Hello,

From your description you have two FTP programs running which will cause conflicts. Leave the FileZilla running and disable the windows FTP and your setup should work fine.

Error message for FTP server in Xerox 8900 "Failure transferring job to network server"

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello,

I am trying to set up a "Template"  with FTP as protocol. However, I can't make it work. I have the following error

"Failure transferring job to network server". I will brefilly described my set up.

I have a Xerox 8900 printer/scanner/fax  and I have a Win 7 machine, both are on the same

network.

Win 7 machine setup.

I have running XAMPP on this machine,

FileZila Port 21 enable

User and Password created

There is a folder that is share w/r properties enable.

I have enable FTP server on win 7 machine

Programs and Features -> Turn Windows services ON or OFF -> FTP Server

I am able to login to the FTP server from another win 7 machine, so I guess the FTP server side is working.

Xerox 8900 setup

I have created a new template and I have the following setup

FriendlyName: "FriendlyName"

Protocol: FTP

IPv4

IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:21

Document Path: /Folder/SubFolder/ (Created and share on Win 7 machine)

subfolder (tick)

Filing Policy "Rename New File"

Autenticated User and Domain:

What I have tried?

1) I have rebooted Xerox 8900 machine

2) I have checked that FTP server is on. (Open a windows explorer from A pc ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:21 to Win 7 machine)

3) I have checked settings (10 times!!)

Any suggestions are welcome.
