You can't get a step by step when you can't name the product since you don't own anything. Are there instructions? Of course, there is this Forum, the user guides, the System Administrator manuals, the Online Supoprt Assistant, Calling Xerox etc etc.
Security of transmission is whatever the transmission method uses. Fax forward on most devices is SMB or Email.
Some machines do FTP.
Good afternoon-
One of my departments is looking for help in securing their incoming faxes.
I’ve been combing the forums and can’t find definitive answers to these questions.
Note: at this point they do not have a Xerox but are trying to decide whether to get one (and which model.)
Here’s what they want:
-Faxes should not print but should go into a secure holding area and be picked up electronically
-Access should be password protected, preferably with domain credentials
-Secure storage should be encrypted
-Transmission should be encrypted
From my reading it appears a number of models CAN be configured to forward the fax to a server.
Are there instructions somewhere for exactly how to do this?
Presumably, if the department has a server already, they could send their faxes there and they’d be as secure as the server admin makes it.
Any ideas about the encrypted transmission?
Thanks for any help you can give us.
