Glad you got it working even if it is only on 71.160. I'm not sure why you cant get it to 71.161 but at least you're back up and running.

Yes with the 071.160 firmware load I had to use the forced AlBoot proceedure to get the machine to load the old firmware. Still no luck getting the machine to accept 071.161, green screen during boot up.
All is good now and I will just stay with 071.160, thanks Tony!
Have you tried the Forced Altboot procedure to see if that will help get the device to boot? Upgrade the Printer Software (Firmware) (xerox.com)?
I remember I had to do that to my 8900 after a failed software upgrade.

Do you know what version of Firmware was on the device before updating? I'm asking as it looks like the software you are asking for is extreemly old and it does not support updating directly to the version that you downloaded recently from Xerox.com.

I've updated the Colorqube 8900 to the latest firmware from the Xerox website and now the system hangs on the green boot screen. The Xerox website just has the latest firmware available and technical support does not have a link to any previous versions since the product is end of life.
Would anyone have an old copy of 071.160.xxx.xxxxx firmware or know of a link where it can be downloaded or third party support?
