I have figured the issue. 

I am using an older MacOs systems.  The new firmware update does not permit me to take USB drive direct from my MacOs system and plug in to as previously was the case.  It does not identify the files on the MacOs USB drive. 

What I did was purchase a new USB drive.  I never formatted to the MacOs system of new USB drive.  Instead transferred files needing to print on newly updated WC7845 to a windows based computer direct to new USB drive.

The files were identified as previously identified and the printing from the WC7845 has continued.

Is there a setting somewhere in system that would let me print from pdf"s.  A setting that I can change. The firmware has been fully updated.

Since the update I have resumed scanning which went dark alone with printing out from USB port.  

Currently is changes the file names when reviewing menu of any one USB drive.  It adds an underscore to the beginning of each file name.

When trying to print from pdf, it gives me a red flag message: X Job Deleted

Deleted: User permission restrict printing this job type

I have done this proceedure a couple times before receiving your suggestion.  I did follow through and try your selection. No change.

Still looking for a solution.  This machine still has lots of life left.

I had another gentleman suggest it was the USB drive itself.

Firmware Upgrade

Good day all,

I have a WorkCentre 7845.  Had issues with being able to use scan and print from USB port.  Before issues, I could stick an USB memory stick in to USB port on WC7845 and either pick a pdf to print or scan any item to save as a pdf on to that memory stick.

Copier portion of copier worked just fine.  The touch screen actually darkened the modes for printing and scanning from USB.

I have uploaded Firmware for this unit and have went through all the parameters to update.  

The scanner portion works as before.

But, the copier does not let me print any pdf's as before. In fact, it gives me a red flag across the screen stating "Job Deleted" on red tab across the top.

Then the rest of the message says: Deleted: User permissions restrict printing this job type.

Please advise any solution.
