Re: GMT Offset - why?

I finally upgraded the firmware to 21.120.65.150 and this fixed the time issue on confirmations.  But now I can't scan to the network.  Most frustrating.

The confirmation shows "Status FAILED, Login failure. Check user password, and/or setups."

I've checked the protocol settings, side by side, with another 5150 that does work.  I've checked the settings on each template.  I've set up a new template from scratch.  I've set up a new template from scratch using my administrator name and password.

I'm at a loss.  Suggestions welcomed.

Re: GMT Offset - why?

well, there are some new firmwares, but not released on the xerox site

its best to call xerox and ask for version : 21_120_65_150 , thats the latest one

Re: GMT Offset - why?

What's the firmware version on yours, Herrett?  Is it a 5150 as well?

Re: GMT Offset - why?

Firmware is 021.120.052.00000

We have 44 of these machines around the state, and we try to keep them all on the same version.  But I may try upgrading this one just to see.  Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: GMT Offset - why?

Well, I'm frustrated.  If I set the offset to zero, the time is off by 6 hours, and I can't set the time.  I can set the time, it just resets to the network time which is GMT adjusted by time zone.

So ....

the confirmations are 6 hours off .... no matter what.

Now I just need the full name, home address, and phone number of the person who thought that was a good idea.  ;o)

GMT Offset - why?

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

WorkCentre 5150

Date/Time settings includes Greenwich Mean Time offset which, in my time zone, is set to -6.

The problem is that confirmation reports print GMT.  The Completed Jobs report shows the correct time, so why the programmers elected to print GMT on the confirmations is beyond me.

My question .... if I set that offset to zero (0) will it affect anything?  Our WAN is all in the same time zone, so it shouldn't matter there -- should it?
