i have the same problem... It's a second hand machine and every things was ok , since a few month ago I can't able to scan a document with my gmail account.
I tried to setup a new nntp server (only the smart e solution was never configured) but it doesn't work...
Do you have any idea ?
Addition, do not use Chrome web browser, OR MS Edge if you have Win10 and are fully up to date, both are based on Chromium and password fields and some check boxes don't work properly
Assuming current firmware there is no issue if the settings are correct.
First off, Time/Date and DNS must be correct, time has to be within 3 minutes of current. So if Smart eSolutions is working and the time is correct, move on.
SMTP settings need to be smtp.gmail.com on port 587 using STARTTLS (not STARTTLS If Available) and be sure to uncheck the validate server certificate option
Device Email address (screenshot 2 ) must match what is in the login tab, bottom and top screens must match and be set to SYSTEM
You also should go to Services > Email > Setup > From Field > Edit and make sure it is the same email there too
If this setup doesn't work and or differs in any way, please go back to sentence 1.
Future readers, it is entirely possible you will need to enable less secure apps in your account, but as of todays date you don't, but Xerox simply will never be able get ahead of Google secuirty updates and changes, so at least try it.
