Note: The version before it of 71.23.13 listed SSL as a configurable option but it was not working.
Hiya... My gmail functionality stopped yesterday and i note that the software version is much lower than what is recommended in your above post.

Can't connect to smtp.
Have tried ports 465, 587 with all SSL combinations. Also tried DNS from google (220.127.116.11 & 18.104.22.168). Connection is ok and account is valid.
Also have 7220 and is working ok through 465 TLS/SSL with same account.
Firmware is updated.
Having the same issue here with my DocuCentre-IV 3375. Solution provided didn't work either. We haven't been able to scan to email since last Tuesday. Will there be a fix provided anytime soon?
smtp.gmail.com is not working anymore, use smtp.googlemail.com instead.
smtp.googlemail.com on port 587 with STARTTLS

Thank you for participating in our forums. I just tested this solution and it doesn't work unless you lower the account security for google.
I've tested this in our demoroom and it works with our Google Apps account, so this may be a (temporary?) solution. Still wainting to hear from the IT departments I've shared this with.
Security cannot be lowered on a Google Apps account.
I can find no official word from Google on this.

In our offices, Workcentre 7720 only works with smtp.gmail.com on port 465 and TLS/SSL. In the other hand, Workcentre 6605 since last 25th only works with smtp.googlemail.com (different IP) on 587 and STARTTLS. Both models uses same email account on Google Apps. Two step auth is not enabled.
