No success on resolving the issue. I don't know how to get to the flat cable to disconnect/reconnect and I've searched online but to no avail. I requested a complete diagram so I could potentially take it apart but none of the links the manufacturer provided give a full diagram. I'm so disappointed because my machine is still like new.
I too am now getting this exact same problem on my 6027, which I purchased in early 2018. Any success in addressing the problem? I already had the latest firmware, but I reinstalled it to be sure. That did not help.
I purchased the Xerox WorkCentre 6027 new a number of years ago. I've hardly ever used it. Recently, when I scan documents, a gray bar, approximately one inch wide, is presented to the left edge of the image and it covers some of the contents of the document. I read in the forum of a similar issue for another machine to disconnect/reconnect the flat cables from CIS sensors (at the CIS side and at the Board side). May this resolution apply to the Workcentre 6027 also? If so, how may I get a detailed diagram of the 6027 machine so I can locate the CIS sensors to do this myself? I do not have the resources to call a technician.
Otherwise, how can this be resolved?
Thanks!
