Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the instruction for setting up server fax in the System Admin Guide for your machine.  The instructions begin on page 149.  If this is not what you are referring to then it is a Windows application.  If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Help setting up Windows Fax and Scan for WorkCentre 7545???

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Here are my steps:

 

Currently on Windows 7 x64

 

1. Open Windows Fax and Scan

2. Click "Tools"

3. Click "Fax Accounts"

4. Click "Add"

5. Click "Connect to a fax server on my network"

 

6:

There is a message box that pops up with "Type the fax server location...For example \\mycompanyfax"

I have tried:

\\192.168.1.26

http://192.168.1.26

\\servername_where_xerox_driver_is_stored

 

nothing seems to work and I get the same error:

"The mentioned fax server is not available. Please correct the server name and try again."

 

I ran the configuration on the machine:

 

Machine Name:                     XRX_0000AAFA56CE

IP address:                           192.168.1.26

FaxLine1:                              11

System Software Version:   061.121.221.29800

Machine URL:                        http://192.168.1.26

 

I'm not sure if this a windows problem or a xerox problem. Or if the machine can't even be setup like this.
