Hi dimuns,

you can configure the device to look at your DNS server. Under the TCP/IP settings of the device you are able to setup an address where the 7556 will go and look for name resolution.

Host resolution during ftp or SMB scanning

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I have a  WorkCentre 7556 and can succesfully scan to my FTP server (created with IIS) or a shared folder on my Win 7 workstation as long as I use its address in the filing destination template. However these addresses are dynamically allocated so I would like to use the host name. Can the  WorkCentre 7556 resolve addresses through a Host file or some other address resolution mechanism ?
