How Can I Block A Fax Number?

The forwarding function does not take any informaton from the incoming fax. The feature converts the hardcopy fax image to PDF and it emails from the device.

The "From" address can be the same email address used when SMTP was setup on the device. Or any valid email address of your choice.

I am seeing that fax forward only gives me the option if it's sent from an email address? 

Would this work if the only information available was the phone number the fax was sent from and, if so, how would I word it in the "From address" line?

The AltaLink C80xx does not have the capability to block specific numbers.  An option that is available is Fax Forwarding. This would allow reviewing the incoming faxes for deleting, filing, forwarding or printing. 

Fax Forwarding
You can configure the printer to forward incoming faxes to email or file destinations by creating a Fax
Forward Rule. For different situations, you can configure up to five rules, and apply them to the
available fax lines.
Note: After you configure the fax forwarding rule, apply the rule to a fax line.

Hi, 

I am posting this on behalf of a company I work for but we own a Xerox AltaLink C8045. We keep getting spam faxed from a supply company which is wasting our toner and paper and we can't find a setting that will allow us to block incoming fax from a specified number. How can we go about this? I have tried contacting the supply comapany to take us off their list but they have not been answering our calls.
