How do i set up my Xerox 6605n to scan to email?

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi we have a xerox 6605n thats connected to eithernet.  TIs not linked to any printer but is linked to our network.  My co workers want to be able to scan to their emails.  I get an error of a smtp set up is needed inorder to print.  Please help.. Thanks in advance
