After using the web installer for drivers, a Xerox Product Registration screen pops up. We do not wish to register it, so we close it, but it will continue popping up throughout the day, and is very annoying. There does not seem to be any way of getting rid of it. Any suggestions?
Pick the middle one
The solution by Joe053204-xrx did not work for me because the second pop-up window did not appear. However, I found that there were two tasks scheduled in the Windows Task Scheduler, so I disabled them both. Hopefully that will do the trick.
Good call, just like you, I didn't get the secondary prompt on any of our systems. I didn't see anything on the autoruns list, but you were right. These 2 items in task scheduler appear to be the culprit for this annoyance. It's a shame they built it into the updater, but that was their choice. I'd rather have no updates versus random pop-ups for my users.
