Re: How to lock machine information?

Sorry, there are very few who are experienced in Printsafe, I'm not one of them, for anything dealing with Printsafe I suggest calling Xerox. If you are in the USA/Canada, all the specialists work from around 9-5 EST (In my experience), so you want to call as early in the day as possible. But it is setup like, and replaces Secure Access, so those directions very likely apply.

Excuse me please, but I need some more help!

I have to set the same machine with PrintSafe software and use it with Card reader. I find instructions   "Setting Up Authentication for Xerox Secure Access", but I dont think it works for PrintSafe. Can You show me some shortcuts for locking the machine and make it use the Card-reader !!!

I've already install the PrintSafe software, add the printer. I can add users too.

Thanks in advance!!!

CWIS > Properties > Security  >Display Network Settings  >Hide Network information Will remove it from the upper left of the screen

At this point though, the Machine status screen will still display it just fine, so you need to go to the printer, login as admin and then set the following 2 settings.

Machine Status > Tools > Authentication/Security Settings > Access Control > Device Access and set the Machine status Pathway to Locked and save that.

Then go to Machine Status > Tools > Authentication/Security settings > Login Type > Login to Local accounts.

Then save that and logout, after the reboot you will be required to login as the admin to get to the Machine status screen and therefore you will not be able to see any network settings as a guest user.

Hello all !

Can anybody tell me if I can lock the machine information on WC5325. I`ve got a customer who don`t want info like IP-address of the machine to be displayed free on the UI.

So. Is that possibile, or not ?

Thanks in advance!!!
