How to remove the subfolder .xsm from a 3345

I have the same issue with a customer that needs to scan Tiff images for their patient database. If there's a way to turn off the .xsm folder creation this would make things a ton easier!

As far as I know that ius just what happens when you scan via TIFF. Are you doing Tiff or something else?

And how was scan set up? FTP/SMB/TWAIN?

I have a 3345 to set up for different individuals to scan and deposit the scans in a common shared folder on our network. The problem is that when a user scans something, the scan goes to the folder on the network and it creates also a .xsm folder where it also deposits those scans together with 3 files .dat . How can I scan individual files without creating a .xsm  folder each time?
