GREETINGS, THANK YOU FOR THE INFORMATION ON THE DIMENSIONS OF THE LEAVES WE USE WHEN PRINTING BECAUSE IT HAPPENED THAT IT WAS NOT ACCORDING TO THE IMAGE WITH THE TYPE OF PAPER OR WITH THE TRAY.
This page seems very good to me, they are not rude or disrespectful. I know that when I have any doubts or confusion regarding this issue I should go here. Thanks!
You cannot, but, Acrobat/Reader will output it to print all on Letter, as will most other pdf apps, but they will all cause large margins on one axis do to the fact that it won't make the image smaller in one direction, it keeps the aspect ratio so Legal-Letter for instance has to reduce the long edge to 78%, and it will then do the same to the short edge (otherwise fonts can become unreadable, pictures distort etc etc)
I don't think Xerox would even consider adding the ability to change the output size of a mixed job digitally due to the fact from an Engineering standpoint, the page size makes no difference digitally, and all the applications typically have the option to change it when printed.
Hi Joe - I know what you provided here does in fact work. Now let me ask you one other question. What if the user wants the ending result file to be all 8.5 x 11? I don't recall an option in the scan ticket to specify this. I know how to do this with a copy job and a print job but not sure with a scan job.
Thanks Joe.
YES!!! You are AWESOME! I tried Googling the answer and searching on here, but could not come up with the right words. The pictures sure helped too! Thank you so much!!
It's called Mixed size originals. From the scan screen go to Layout Adjustment > Original Size > Mixed size originals
Pages must be a standard size and must share the same feed edge. So 8.5*11/8.5*14 work as longs as the 8.5 feeds first.
8.5*11 and 11*17 work when the 11 inch side is fed first.
Our company printer/scanner/copier is a WorkCentre7220. I sometimes have to scan different sizes of paper and I want them to go on one attachment. Some of the pages are 8 1/2 x 11 and others are tabloid size - 11 x 17. When I scan them thru the feeder, the output will be all 11 x 17. So the person receiving the scanned pages goes to print them out and they all print out on tabloid paper.
I know there is a way to do it so the receiver can print out the correct sizes without me having to scan the pages separately, but how? I hope this question is clear. I really need an answer because the receiver in my case can only print out in 8 1/2 x 11 paper and therefore, the pages I scanned are now really tiny, except for the 11 x 17. They are small too, but not as tiny and compressed as the 8 1/2 x 11 pages. Please help!
