How would you change the smtp server settings on dozains of printers

Without a list of products, it's hard to say how this could be done as it will depend on the device type, age, and software level. 

Take a look at this following links that may help. Creating a clone file, How To Create a Clone File (xerox.com), and pushing it out to the device using  Fleet Orchestrator Feature (xerox.com) or Device Management - CentreWare™ Web - Xerox. 

You may also be able to use Microsoft Power Automate to be able to record the action and make the chagnes automaticallly if the above does not work.

Hi, 

Unfortunately some of our printers have their SMTP server configured with an IP. I would like to change this to a FQDN or, if difficult, the newer IP

I could indeed connect to each and every printer to change that, but it's cumbersome and prone to error 
are there telnet options or anything that could make this easier ?
