Intermittent SMTP Failure when scanning to eMail

Product Name: WorkCentre 7830/7835/7845/7855
Operating System: Windows 10
Greetings, We have a Xerox WorkCentre 7835 v1 with software Version: 073.010.008.05210. From time-to-time users are unable to scan to email, usually rebooting device will resolve but only temporarily. Factors: 1. SMTP password is 19 characters. Password was recently updated, issue arose after password was changed, 2 weeks ago. 2. Office using Office365 3. Most of our authentication is MS cloud based. 4. When testing from printer URL this is the error that is received: “Unable to send test Email. Login failure. Check user password, and/or setups.” 5. Users receive a one page error report. SMTP Transfer Report: Job Status: FAILED Could not login to the sending mail server (SMTP). 6. Issue does not occur with every test or scan to email 7. Resolved issue with printers NTP service being off by a day, which I thought would resolve issue, but has not. Hopefully this is something simple, I’m new to this environment, new job. Addendum:  A couple of users have just told me that printing is considerably slower than it was a couple of months ago.  What use to take 5 minutes to print now takes 30 minutes.  It sounds like some sort of delay between the printer and server.
