we are having exactly the same issue with our Xerox WorkCentre 7830 v1 on firmware version 072.010.004.09100 (its the newest available on the support site).
Can you provide a fix for this model as well, please?

Same problem, solved with version 071.040.034.06000
I had this same issue. I ended up using a shorten version of the user's name. i.e. Rebecca to Becky
I was having this issue too.
Workaround:
1) export the address book FIRST (using the drop down menu in the upper right)
2) delete the entire existing address book (using the drop down menu in the upper right)
3) add the new user, it should work after doing the wipe
4) import the address book
5) optional - re- export the address book if you want a new master file address book
I have seen this as well to my knowledge it was not resolved

I am working on a WorkCentre 7845 (firmware version 071.040.103.2340) and am exeriencing an issue adding contacts to the Address Book via the web interface.
When adding a new user, populating only the Display Name and Email Address field, I receive an error that the Display Name already exists, though it is a new user that is clearly not listed. I have also tried exporting the current address book, adding the new user, and importing - the import is successful, however the new user is not added.
Anyone else experienced this issue on this model?
