Hi,
apologies for late reply.
It is a good idea. might worth trying, nevertheless I am not sure it will work. Because the when you edit such files the registry that allow you access is on the local machine. Associated to local profile.
Even with a user with full permissions on the server I think it would be hard to work...
Hi cpg-eastern,
I am not expert on this subject. But I have experienced this before on different models.
First I assume you are able to read the address book... Make sure that when mapping the share drive you keep always the same letter, this way mapping always works.
For you to be able to edit it, the phonebook needs to be saved on a local drive. Somewhere on the C drive should do. This way the driver registry is able to access the phonebook. I am not able to be more specific technicaly as I never spent the time to fully explore this feature..
I hope this helps!
Anyone know why the Shared Phonebook placed on a network drive cannot be edited even if all users have access rights to the folder?
