Linux: "Scan to Desktop" and SFTP/SMB?

Product Name: WorkCentre 6515
Operating System: Linux

Hello fellow users of Xerox,

Just wondering, if it is possible to use the option "Scan to Desktop", or to make it so in the near future?

According to the user manual of WorkCentre 6515, I have to use Web Service ond Device (WSD), but that is a Windows API. Therefore I am wondering if it is possible to include the SMB and/or SFTP in the near future to set up "Scan to Desktop", just like "Scant to Folder".

Just to make Xerox more workable with Linux systems...

On the side note, the usser manual still speaks of Xerox Printer manager, but there is only Xerox Office Standard Driver for Linux.
