Re: Lock Down Scanning

Hi MCameron099
Thank you for using the Xerox forum.

I would suggest that you contact the technical support center for this issue.

The contact information is the same for the models you have identified so a product expert should be familiar with any differences and how to help.

Lock Down Scanning

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Good Morning:

Due to some security risks our engineers have found and some concerns we are being asked to turn off the ability for public users to go to the Xerox CentreWare Internet Services web page and not be able to get to the scan tab or see it. We have whole range of different copiers in our company and one other model the Konica Minoltas have this same feature where by default if you go to the web interface you can pull up the address book and edit/add/remove scan templates. Under the settings we were able to turn this off for those but I cannot find any setting on these Xerox Copiers is this possible? Is there a way to make it either prompt for admin login when someone trys to go to the scan tab or make it where the scan tab does not show up at all unless you log in as an admin?

We have a long list of different model xeroxs but the one I am trying to test this on is Work Centre 7345

here are a few others we have.

Xerox Color 560

Xerox WorkCentre 7775

Xerox Work Centre 7845

Thanks

Mike Cameron
