Hi Daniel416,
spend also hours in trouble shooting, but the problem exist until today and I as well as yourselves have obviously wasted our money for the WIFI modul.
Everything works perfectly in my LAN/WIFI environment. However, as you know Joe from Xerox support stated, that the problem is with the LAN/WIFI environment, but definitely not with the Xerox equipment. Hard to believe.
I had no other choice, but having the machine constantly connected via network cable. I do consider the support from Xerox as poor and will due to this fact certainly not buy anything else again from Xerox. Anyway, too late for both of us.
Best regards
I believe that I have this exact situation. Scanning works if the pc/laptop is wired but not when its on wifi. Xerox can be both wired and wireless - this seems to not make any difference. I lost hours looking into SMB on Windows 11 but it simply works when laptops are wired. You have mentioned issue with LANs in this situation, could you point me in some direction? What to look for?
Thanks in advance
The fact DHCP populates it doesn't matter, what matters is that the WiFi DHCP and the Wired DHCP are the same or are bridged.
Wireshark is advanced , I can't teach it here, especially when I can't possibly know what any IP it finds could be anyway.
If it works on Wired but not Wireless, then the LANs are the issue, not the device.
You will need to wireshark trace to find out why it doesn't work, the printer itself doesn't care if it's WiFi or wired.
What is likely the case is that the gateway is different, or the DNS doesn't work (if using hostname in scan)
Hi,
need some advise.
Bought a 6515 a while ago and the setup has been done. Can do everything I want so far, but only via LAN connection. The machine has gotten separate IP addresses for both LAN and WIFI.
Whenever I remove the LAN cable, restart the machine and try to scan via WIFI either to a NAS or to an email address scanning fails. However, printing is no problem via WIFI.
Spend already hours to get it working. Any good hint for a baffled user?
Best regards
