I've tried to set it up on a LAN but couldn't figure out how to do it. I like Paperport. It's user friendly and also can be used to create PDFs. My Acrobat 6.0 doesn't work for that anymore. Obviously I'm not IT savvy.
why scan with paperport? have you attached the device with usb?
you can attach the machine with LAN and configure networkscanning, much easier if once is setup
The printer came with PaperPort. If I want to scan documents into the computer, I use PaperPort. That program has "Letter, A3, A4, B4 & B5" for paper options. When I checked what the A & B sizes were, none of them fit 8-1/2x14 paper. All this is done from my computer.
When I set up the scan on the printer and send it to the computer by USB. it still creates an letter sized scan and cuts off the bottom. So neither method works for creating legal sized scans.
i am not sure with that type of device, but isnt there a setting for the size? like you have for pdf, tiff, color, duplex, resolution ....
Where can I find autodetect?
are you using autodetect? you can predefine your scan area when copy/scanning
I'm trying to figure out how to scan in lagal size paper (8-1/2" x 14") into my computer. Every time I've tried it ends up being 8'12" x 11" with the bottom 3" cut off. Please help!
