whats the error code you have when scanning ?
I have 3 of these machines (7535, 7545, 7556). All 3 have speed issues when printing color print jobs. It averages approx half of the rated color speed. Black and white printing is at its rated speed. Funny thing is that when copying both color and BW is fine. One beast has has its SATA cable replaced, the SBC replaced, and the latest SPAR updated, as forced altboot. Next step Xerox wants, is the memory changed. I'm thinking there may be other issues as all 3 machines have the same problem. Any ideas?
I would investigate the following:
-is the Windows Firewall active on the machine experiencing problems, and if so, is it blocking SMB access? Likely not given your "weird item" result, but worth checking
-does the new account you created have all the same group memberships, share access rights, etc. as the old account(s)?
If the scanning account has insufficient rights to access the SMB share to which the scan is to be delievered, then delivery will fail. The account credentials themselves are unimportant in this case - what is important is whether or not the account, once authenticated, can access the location to which the scans are configured to be delivered. I would test this out by trying to access the scan target folder remotely (i.e. from another computer) using the credentials configured on the Xerox unit. If you are unable to do so, then you need to ensure the account used has sufficient (i.e. Write) access to the SMB location you are scanning to on this PC. My point above about group memberships and share access is that perhaps the new account is missing from a group or ACL the old account remains a part of.

I should add the weird item.
After I switched the user name and password to log in, I didn't think and tried to scan on the other machine (in which I hadn't updated the login and password). It worked. The log in and password are incorrect but we're able to scan using them.
We are scanning using SMB. Everything was working fine until today, when we can't get our machine to scan to one PC. It will scan to other computers, but not this one. I have restarted the machine and the computer. I have set up a new user account to avoid any issues with the passwords. I have created all new templates and file repository to go along with the new user on the computer. I checked to verify the IP address. I'm not sure what the issue seems to be, and we've had enough issues using this machine that I thought I was a pro at all of it. Any help?
