This issue is back !!
We have had to roll back the SW to 57.66.11 to bring back the Mail Icon.
The issues seems to start when you enable convenience authentication.
Any fixes would be greatly appreciated.
Call Xerox and report it to 2nd level, I simply can't replicate as I don't have Equitrac, this issue doesn't happen without Equitrac
Xerox VersaLink C7020/25/30 Software Release 57.43.01 is still causing this issue on any device that's in Equitrac.
It is causing us major issues, having to factory reset theses devices.
You need to provide more details, because just updating mine doesn't replicate your issue at all, I went from
57.33.1 to 57.34.1, which is the latest spar and it had no affect at all on the Email icon, or the service, it works just like it did before the update.
The only version newer than what I loaded is 57.34.15, but that is a one-off release for a specific customer so I won't be installing that in the lab.
HTTPs was enabled before and after the update, disabling https also changed nothing for the email icon or its use.
I tried this on a C7030 and a C405 (68.34.01)
We have recently had a C405 and two C7020 that have had the Email icon disappear after upgrading to the latest current software.
We can bring it back by resetting the devices back to factory defaults, this is a major issue.
Just in addition to this, I tested turning off https on the device and this gave us something.
When HTTPS is turned off, the screen is still the same, no email button: see pic 1
However when you now go into customise, the email button is there: see pic 2
Unfortunately when you go to the home screen the mail icon does not come back.
