NOTE:
The customer wants to scan BOTH pages and then have the software split the resulting scan (OF BOTH PAGES) into TWO separate sheets.... splitting the scan into separate files is no problem - I am looking for something that will "analyze" the scanned image.
To solve the issue you have to access the webpage of the machine and login as admin.
Follow the screen and the problem should be solved :)
This is with a WC 7845.
Might I add that IF the customer has to consider another scanning solution - that might be possible.
I have seen the BookCentre here but do not see that capability listed on the website.
machine model?
I ran into this situation this week in training and did not have a solution. I am hoping that this group, with its wealth of experience, might have some thoughts:
The customer does a lot of scanning to email (generating PDFs). Scanning is done primarily from what they call Field Books. The books come in various sizes but the one I worked with was about 11x17 when opened fully…it was, basically, two letter sized sheets. The customer wants to scan BOTH pages and then have the software split the resulting scan into TWO separate sheets.
You can see the advantage for her - one scan without moving the book around would save time.
Now, the email portion is a bonus…. because she could also send it to a folder. So I looked at her Adobe Acrobat software but didn't see anything that jumped out at me.
I was thinking that there might be Xerox (or Adobe) scan solutions that I don't know about.
