Can't help with the doc-feed scanner.
For the PDF conversion, try Sofa PDF. Even the free 14-day trial I had provided a feature to combine all of the selected files in a folder into a single PDF automatically. Truly nifty and impressive. Just be sure your scanner serially numbers the scans to keep them in the correct order.
The licensed copy of the software varies in cost depending on the features you select.
Thank you for using the Support Forum. You can take a look at our stand alone scanners or you might consider trading in your current machine for a multifunction device that will copy, print and scan. You can take a look at our software solutions for possible scanning software for your needs. If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre or your look dealer or sales representative for further assistance.
I'm looking for a recommendation for a good scanner with a reliable document feeder, that I can use with my Phaser 6280DN printer. In other words, I want to be able to use it as a copier. Nothing industrial, just light SOHO use.
Ideally, I would be connected to my local network via CAT-5 to my router, as is the Phaser.
In addition, any recommendation of software that would allow me to send scanned documents to a local PC, where they would be converted to PDF files would be nice. (I've looked at several PDF-makers, but none do batch processing of documents coming in from a document feeder. All require operator intervention between each page and/or document).
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
