I hope this doesn't sound stupid, but I dont' see anything at all in webtools that says "mailbox"
In remote scan you just type the mailbox in.
guest or admin
Any error on your PC about harmony is happening because of Java on your PC, it isn't the Fiery
If you need a job done quick and have a file server using SMB or FTP that you know the settings for , just set that up in one of the mailboxes. (login as admin and clikc edit on the mailboxin webtools)
I tried scanning as admin but still nothing showed up on this end on the computer. When I open the Fiery Remote Scan app, there's nothing there for mailboxes. As I was clicking something to check on settings (and of course now I don't remember what I clicked) something came up that said "error in Harmony layers". Is that an indication of a Fiery issue? It's really messed up since I have a 600 page binder to scan. :(
I also tried printing to the print queue from the web page and it won't do that either.
I have to set up a mailbox for the remote scan, yes?
No, EFi already created 2 at install, which is why guest is the default, admin is a secondary, so when you don't login you see/get it as guest, if you login as admin you don't see guest and see no jobs because you haven't as admin scanned anything
I did download that but I don't see any mailboxes set up and I noticed the LDAP is off. Do I need that to try to set up a mailbox?
LDAP is for email addresses and for authenticating to do print jobs, it won't help scan in any way
I was wondering if a setting was changed or something. They did reinstall the Fiery at one point. I think it might have been about a year or so ago.
The mailboxes that appear in the web browser are built in by default, reloading it would have wiped out jobs that were in them and nothing more, they cannot be modified to not work, if they were sending out to the network in any way that would have been lost, but the mailbox you are talking about and showing in the picture isn't that.
We don't use the network scan that often,
Technically this isn't a network scan, the copier says it is simply because the copier is built to do scans on its own, EFI just in this case dumps its own mailbox links in there, which it working fine because the jobs make it to the Fiery just fine, and you are viewing them over the LAN in webtools, which is the Fiery itself.
so it may have been shortly after that that we discovered we couldn't retrieve files the files any longer. We can see them, just can't download them.
We also got a new firewall device several months ago. Could that cause a problem although we can all see and communicate with the Xerox? Yes it could, but I can't help with that when I can't possibly know what it is or how it is set up. I would assume that Fiery remote scan would work around the issue in that case.

Either the drive is corrupted on the Fiery and breaking files or the Fiery needs to be reloaded.
1. Try installing Fiery Remote Scan for either the Mac or the PC, if that works to get the files, get them all and proceed to step 2 without worry, if it fails, do step 2 and understand all scans will be lost. If the links don't work, get the files from EFI here
2. Do a Clear Server in Command Workstation of all scan jobs, reboot and try again, if it works, all is well, if it fails still, all hope is lost and go to Step 3.
3. Reload the Fiery or have Xerox reload it.
Hoping someone can help... I'm scanning a document at the machine, and can see the files when I go to the printer's web page - I select the file, click download and it says it will downlod to the local machine, and then I get the attached. What is wrong? NOTE: We USED to be able to download scanned files with no problem. There were techs here and there that did things to the machine, and then all of a sudden, we can't download the files anymore. I noticed when I log in as admin, the files are NOT there. Only when I'm not signed in as a guest. I'm on a Mac (Mojave) and my coworker is on Windows 10, but we both experience the same issue. Not sure if it was Mac/Windows related but I guess not.
