U need to do an Upgrade software.
What is the actual version of your WC?
Hi again!
I was talking about enabling SMB, not disabling SMBv2 and SMBv3.
You might not need to, but I said it because I've bumped into this before.
Usually it's just the sharing settings etc.
I do believe this printer does use SMBv1?

I was sure that you would have made reference to that Microsoft KB article.
Doing so you force Windows 8/8.1 and Windows Server 2012 to work in SMB1 mode.
"Note When you enable or disable SMBv2 in Windows 8 or in Windows Server 2012, SMBv3 is also enabled or disabled. This behavior occurs because these protocols share the same stack."
That is a bad idea, especially if the computer acting as the file repository is Windows Server 2012.
Hi you!
I have seen a few times that versions of SMB is disabled in win 8 for some reason.
Have a look at THIS link.
I can ensure you that network scanning works well on win 8-8.1.

Hello Kimzi.
What do you mean with that? Can you be more specific, thanks.
Why would'nt you?
We had a wc7225 at work, and new win 8-8.1 computers, worked the same as if you would use win 7.
You might need to enable the correct SMB version, but thats about it.
As far as I know you cannot scan using SMB from a WC7225, WC78xx or any prior Xerox MFP to Windows 8, 8.1 or Windows server 2012.
The only way to succeed is using FTP.
Hi you!
According to the Compatibility Matrix there is support for win 8.1.
Updated drivers for printing are also available on the site.
Have a look at THIS and see if that helps.

If anyone successfully setup Network Scanning on WC7225 or comparable MFP with Windows 8.1, can you please share your instructions? I have a proposed WC7225, customer will not accept proposal until we guarantee it will work. Is WC7225 SMB compatible with Windows 8.1 SMB? Do I need patches or update for Microsoft Windows 8.1?
