I work for an IT company and one of our clients has a setup from which we are trying to migrate them. They have hosted cloud email (exchange) for their normal email use, but also have an internal Exchange 2010 server that we have set up for their "Scan to Email" feature. When they scan a document to email, it goes through the onsite Exchange server and into their email, but if they try to forward the email, it also goes out that same server (which we don't want, we want it to go out of the cloud hosted exchange). We set it up so that it would scan to a network share, but the company didn't like that because it was "inconvenient". Is there a software program that will translate email addresses to switchport numbers? Or maybe one that will scan the document to each individual's desktop? There are about 30 users at this company, so its not all too big. We want to cut the Exchange server out of the equation completely because it just causes too many problems, but they want to keep the ease of the scan to email. The scanner/copier/printer is a WorkCentre 7665. Thank you for any help.
