Unless you REALLY need SMB, I usually recommend FTP for most of my customers. SMB is a "Microsoft Protocol" so they can change it as much as they want. This happened recently on the Server 2008 side too, they released a patch that broke SMB on 90% of our machines (and most competitor machines) so many people are recommending FTP as it is VERY stable.
Will do. I'll give them a call on Monday and upgrade the firmware to see if it fixes it. Thanks!
smb seems to fixed or alteast addressed in version firmware : 061.0x0.221.36200
contact xerox to obtain that firmware since its not listed on the download pages
pls provide some feedback if it works
I've been having an issue with network scanning to a share on our Windows 7 machine with our ColorQube. I have been doing a lot of research with it and it turns out it is Windows Live Essentials messing up the SMB scanning and once it is uninstalled from the computer, it then works. However, I do need Windows Live Essentials installed because I use a couple of the programs included in it.
Is there any work around for this issue? I've seen a couple other people with the same issue on a couple of other machines.
