Thank you for your response. In the interest of time, I had co-workers go to the remote locations and set up the option for me. I haven't honestly figured out how to do this via CentreWare, but seeing as how it only involves entering an 8-digit code on the printer console, you would think it could be done remotely.
Hi gadecke,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the System Admin. guide for instructions on setting up the Network Scanning starting on page 202. It looks like the scan feature has to be enabled at the machine itself but then can be configured from CInterWare Internet Services. If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
I have two Workcentre 5790s at my company that I need to install the network scanning kit on, and both of these locations are far enough that I would have to drive to them. Is it possible to install the network scanning kit using Centreware? I have done it in the past using the console on the machine itself, and I cannot figure out if there is a way to do it remotely, but it would be great if I could. Thanks.
