Try modyinf the brightess or darkness when copying:

  1. Load the original document face-up in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), or face-down on the Document Glass. Press the [Copy] button on the Control Panel.
  2. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Lighten / Darken], and then press the [OK] button.
  3. Press the required arrow button to move the slider to lighten or darken.
  4. Press the [OK] button.
  5. Enter the required number of copies using the keypad on the Control Panel. The number of copies will be displayed on the upper, right corner of the Display Screen.

New 6105NI Prints ok but Copy quality is poor

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

We just installed a new workcentre 6015ni. If I print from a MAC or PC, the print quality looks great. However, If i take any of the printed pages and copy it - by  placing it on the platen glass and selecting COPY - the quility of the copy is not as good - there are areas of ghosting on the bottom left and in the middle of the page. I know the paper path and toner and other items are clean, because the printer is new and prints cleanly. What could be causing problems with copies? the platen glass looks clean. Could there be an issue with the auto exposure? or do I have a defective machine?
