Re: New Scan Template wc7855

Yes, only one can be created via the Scan to Home option, if you want PDF vs Tiff you would either have to change those options in the template at the time of scan, or setup templates to go to the scan to home location manually in the Scan templates. (LDAP does not transfer, the scan to home location is going to be either FTP, or an SMB share, it is just settings that are provided to the device via LDAP)

To find where your Scan to Home files are going and what Protocol they are using you can just search a user in CWIS via

Properties > Connectivity > Setup > LDAP > Edit and select User Mappings then search a user.

So basically, on all devices Scan to Home will be one template. If you want more than one template you need to create them manually.

The beginning of the Home location is your clue to its protocol, \\ is an SMB share, / is FTP

Re: New Scan Template wc7855

@CherylO-Xerox.
I have looked at the process but a protocol MUST be selected, and I cannot use them. What I want is several templates based on Scan to Home service with different scan settings TIFF vs. PDF....

Re: New Scan Template wc7855

Thank you for reply, my Scan2Home works without problems. Appears to me that I can create only one scan template based to "scan to home" services. I'm wrong? 1) other scan templates do not have the LDAP, but smb, ftp, and http. 2) template that I'm try to create is based to LDAP (scan to home) but with different settings compared to the one that I have, TIFF instead of PDF, OCR instead of text and pictures...

Re: New Scan Template wc7855

Hi soruam,

If Scan to Home is in use, then that Scan to Home directory is the Home directory of you, the person who logged into the printer. So anyone else who signs in will have their own directory according to their sign on by choosing the same template.

If you don't sign into the device you would have to setup the scanning manually.

In CWIS all the Scan to Home settings are under Properties > Services > Scan To Home > General It will show the Template name and the path, which will either be defined by the login to LDAP, or a single network path

New Scan Template wc7855

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I have setup "Scan to Home" using LDAP. This is the Default Template in "WorkFlow Scanning" and everything works.  I would like to create one more template with the same setting/configuration of my "Scan to Home", but "SCAN/New Template" does not have the LDAP option just FTP,SMB...

Is this possible? Any suggestion?

Thank you

Mauro
