New user with WorkCentre 7845 need some helo with Email Scanning

I am hoping this is a basic thing...
We have a Workcentre 7845 that is used quite a bit in our office for scanning to email. The complaint I hear from users is that after they scan something their address stays in the To Field in the machine. If the next person is also going to scan, they have to first remove the last person from the To field before they begin. Is there a way around this?
