Hi bbarberio,
In CWIS log on as admin and go to Scan>Folder and select Edit fo rthe user in question
Then choose from the dropdown what you want the passcode used for
If this is not the answer to your issue we need a very clear understanding of what it is you are looking to do as this is the only Passcode I can think of that applies to Scan To Folder.
You stated that " we have not used this Create a Folder option before to do this." So how exactly was the folder created that the other users are using when they don't use a passcode? You are going to have to explain this staement as the machine does not have folders by default, so "something" absolutely did this step.
In a typical workflow each user has a folder and that folder is created on the MFP through CWIS, if your location is different then we need a clear explanation on what you have in order to help fix that issue.
Screenshots and details about what is being selected at the MFP would help greatly.
Nothing on this? I still haven't found a way to store the passwords for users who scan to folder.
This isn't what I'm looking for and it does not work as intended. All I want to do it save the password field so this user does not need to type in a password everytime for scans to go through. It's only happening on this one new user, we have not used this Create a Folder option before to do this.
Hi, bbarberio!
Have a look at THIS, under To create a folder using CWIS: 6b you will see the options available when it comes to the passcode.
Best Regards
Kimzi

I recently set up a new user on our printer, a Color 570. We rarely get new employees at our corporate office(been over a year) and I can't for the life of me figure out how I was able to store the password so the users did not have to enter one before they had to Scan to Folder every time .
I have looked into templates(we don't use them), manuals and resources online and there is no info on how to set this up. I completely forgot how I did this before but it DOES work for the other 50+ pre-existing users. Can anyone assist?
We are running a standard Windows Server 2008 R2 domain, FYI. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
