Hi,
Please can anyone help us.
The scan-email option has disappeared after NVM reset.
After the reset, we re-adjusted all NVM value as per the attached document found on the hidden compartment (Tray-1). But the
Only set of the NVM 840-014 to 1 was unsuccessfully. (Error message appear: incorrect value)
When doing a search on the workcenterM24 Service Manual, we found this note on page 1190 (Scan to E-mail enable (WC 24 only) NOTE: In order to set value to 1, enter)
No think appear after enter.
Please. What we should enter to set this NVM to 1
Thank you both for the answer.
I just found out indeed I had the scan-to-email function and I could manage to make it work.
The only little problem I have now is about managing my SSL certificate to send and receive encrypted emails. It looks like I have some problem with it, but I'll make another post for that.
Thanks again!
Hi Alexandreduf,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. You are correct the scan to network feature was an option on the machine. Please see the setting up network scan for more information. If the kit is installed then follow these instructions to enable the the feature. If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
Hi,
I just bought a used Workcentre 7132 from a company that wanted to renew its printer. This printer was built in 2008 or 2009.
I was disappointed to discover that even though the Workcentre 7132 is called a "multifunction", it doesn't allow you to scan documents. The only thing I can do with it right now is copying and printing.
When I press the "All services" button, only two things are displayed : "Copy" and "Email" (I don't really know what the "email" option is for since I'm unable to type in any sender's email adress. Is that the option "scan to email" ? I don't think so.) .
It looks like there is a way to unlock the "scanning service" on the printer and I'm looking for it. Nowadays, scanning is a default function with any multifunction printer, but back in 2008-2009, Xerox used to ask its customers to pay hundreds of dollars to unlock scanning function.
Could anyone please help me to find the solution to my problem? I would like to unlock scanning service but I'm afraid that I'll have to pay like 700$ to do so. Is there any other solution?
Thanks.
