Hi Stucka,

No you can not! The OCR is only available when you do a scan directly from the device.

For that you need external software like Xerox Scan to Desktop (Nuance Paperport) or ScanFlow Store.

We're still trying to figure out a 7545, which can read from USB to print a file to paper, and can scan paper to OCR and save to USB.

Can this machine OCR from an existing file on a USB drive and save back to USB? I mean, without the intervening steps involving paper?
