Re: Obsolescence? Having issues connecting to Ethernet and wireless. Works with usb but can't share

Hello Russ,

Here are some steps to help you connect via wired Ethernet. If this doesn't work, you may need to call Support: 1-800-821-2797

Thanks,

Re: Obsolescence? Having issues connecting to Ethernet and wireless. Works with usb but can't share

I am using a work center 6027. I recently installed a new Xfinity cable modem/ router. I connected the printer via one of Ethernet ports. I t worked fine. The next day not.

I can connect via Wi-Fi. I have checked the Ethernet ports with different device.,zthey work. Lit green. The printer is yellow. I have swapped Ethernet cables. No help.

There was brief power outage. It did not affect other devices or the printer except for Ethernet connection

Obsolescence? Having issues connecting to Ethernet and wireless. Works with usb but can't share.

Product Name: WorkCentre 6515
Operating System: macOS 10.13 - High Sierra
Is there an easy way to determine if the printer is bad or the user is uninformed on how to setup the pieces. When networked I can ping printer and see with browser but it will not print. Can't figure out how to setup wireless but it does work usb. The previous Samsung usb connected printer just stopped working. Wondering if printers just lose compatibility when old or there is more to it?
