Over-Exposure on Small Portion of Photo Scanned

Hello,

I have recently purchased the Xerox Dupled Combo Scanner and have been trying to digitize photos utilizing the Auto Document Feeder ("ADF") functionality. When doing this I consistently get an over-exposed portion of each photo (as shown below).

It should be noted that the over-exposed image is the 'trailing' edge of the photo. I.e., the edge of the photo that is scanned last

Troubleshooting Steps Taken

  1. Cleaned ADF light / scanning bars with a cloth
  2. Attempted numerous different scanning settings (including turning off the post-scan processing routine, manually specifying the photo dimensions, etc.) - the vertical bar / overexposure seems to abate when I turn the quality down, however, this is not something I want to sacrifice
  3. Scanned the Calibration Page
  4. Restarted the device and my computer

 

Any advice or leads would be greatly appreciated.
