Re: Phaser 3300MFP Scan Format

Fabio, thanks for the reply. There is no program directly being used. We are scanning by loading docs into the ADF, then pressing Start on the machine. Scanned images are then saved as Bitmaps to a folder on the PC.

I've gone into the settings for the scanner in Win7, and the file formats are all set to JPG (there is not even an option for PDF). The settings on the scanner itself are all set to Multi-page PDF - for ALL "Scan To" methods (i.e., USB, Fax, SMB, etc). Yet the resulting scans are still coming up as BMP.

Where else could these settings be hiding?

Phaser 3300MFP Scan Format

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

We have a Phaser 3300MFP used as a scanner in our office. It is connected to a Win7 box via USB. When scanning from the machine to the computer, the scans are saved as bitmaps. All of the scan defaults on the scanner are set to Multi-Page PDF (which is what we want), but the defaults on the computer are set to JPG (PDF is not even an option). Is there a way to change the default format for scanning this way, or what is the recommended way to set up direct-to-PC scanning? (Docs are being placed in the ADF, then pressing Start).

Thanks in advance.
