Re: Phaser 3635 scanning lock message, but lock is not locked

Please also consult the solution for Unlocking the Scanner to make sure it is unlocked.  You may also see the fault code 14-100.

Phaser 3635 scanning lock message, but lock is not locked

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

The User Interface panel displays the message "Scanner is locked. Unlock the scanner," with a Confirm button in the upper right corner. However, the scanner lock is in the unlocked position (not red). The problem may be debris on the underside of the Constant Velocity Transport (CVT) glass. There is a clear plastic strip that is glued to the underside of the CVT. If that comes loose, it can interfere with the scanner travel, exhibiting the same symptoms as though the scanner lock is in the locked position.

We suggest that a technician be contacted to address this issue by removing the scanner and removing debris or firmly reseating the clear plastic strip.
