Hi, Energia!
It does sound like a networking issue, can you print to it?
When accessing Centreware I suggest using IE.

Hello Kimzi,
I have the same problem. I followed the steps below, but when I am opening the stored file manager 3, I always get the message "unable to connect to the specified scanner". I am using win 7 32 Bit, can print without problems, but also when I select "Networkscan" at the printer, there is "not possible" displayed.
One more information, I can access the printer settings threw firefox and the green light at the printers RJ45 is blinking continuesly.
Would be great if I could get some help.
Hey!
Would be good if you could tell us more about the problem, what's not working? have you followed the steps and when does the problem appear?
Best Regards
Kimzi

This procedure does not work for me. I suspect it does not work for others. I have used this procedure on a couple of networks and it just does not work. Ultimately, I was able to get it the Phaser to scan over a networks (2 independent cases) using some sort of custom installation sequence that I cannot quite remember. Consequently, I'm looking for a solution again. This is a persistent problem.
Hello rstc,
The procedure below is for how to add the 6110MFP to a Network Scan program. Is this the procedure that you used to set up your machine for scanning?
To scan images from your printer to your computer through the network, add the printer as an authorized network scanner in the Network Scan program.
NOTE: This solution assumes that the Network Scan program has been installed on the computer.
1.Click on the [Start] button, click on [Programs], click on [Xerox Network Printer Utilities], click on [Network Scan], and then click on [Network Scan]. The Xerox Network Scan Manager window will be displayed.
2.Click the [Add Device] button, or double-click on the [Add Device] icon.
3.Click [Next].
4.Select [Browse for a scanner] (recommended) or [Connect to this scanner] and enter the IP Address of the printer in the field provided.
5.Click [Next]. A list of the scanners on your network will be displayed.
6.Select the printer from the list.
7.Enter a name for the printer, a User ID, and Personal Identification Number (PIN) for the printer in the fields provided.
NOTE: The model name of the printer is automatically entered, but can be modified. The User ID can be up to 8 characters in length, but the first character must be a letter. The PIN must be 4-digits.
8.Click [Next].
9.Click [Finish]. The printer will be added to the Network Scan program and can now scan images through the network.
If you continue to have questions about network scanning and how it works, follow this link to the Phaser 6110MFP Knowledge Base and type "network scanning" in the search field. This will display several answers for network scanning questions.
Hello,
Today I tryed to connect new Windows 7 x64 "Home Premium" box to Phaser 6110MFP, over ethernet network and ran into following problems:
1) the latest driver found in http://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-6110mfp/downloads/enus.html?operatingSystem=win7x64&file... does not give me a option to setup network printer connection. USB connection is the only option.
2) original driver, which came with the printer can setup network connection, but after installation no printer appeared. I was able manually to add network printer via Windows (add printer > have disk and pointed the drivers).
Now printing is OK, but I can not get network scanning to work.
Tryed to install Network Scanning Utility (found in Applications/NetScan folder of drivers, which came with the printer), it was able to detect the scanner but was unable to add it to the list of devices because of "Unknown error, please check your network settings).
The new driver (from point 1) did not have Applications/NetScan folder at all.
Tryed to install NetScan from Phaser 3300MFP and 3200MFP, with some better success - scanner can be added to the list of devices, and it actually sees the computer, but is unable to connect to it. On computer side, Network Scan initially display the scanner icon with ! mark - (unknown status), after about 40-50sec says that it is not connected (X mark on it's icon). When I try to scan something from the scanner and try to connect to the computer, connaction fails, but Network Scanner says that the device is online (no ! or X marks on the icon).
Tryed to add Exception in windows firewall, by allowing all inbound connections from scanner's IP with no difference, but to be honest I did such operation for 1-st time and my configuration may not be correct (I will check that again later this week).
I will greatly appreciate any ideas, how to resolve this issues, and have to say that printer&scanner works with WindowsXP and Windows7 32bit computers, without any problem, but chaging the OS is no option for me, because I have license for this particular one.
Thanx for attention
