I have a similar problem that recently surfaced after a couple of years of trouble free service.  A little different than what you report, but still similar... Printing quality is unchanged... I've heard no response regarding the problem or possible solutions... Perhaps the scanner has given up the ghost?

Please help:

Rarely used Phaser 6180 MFP, first time scanning and the scanner light is on, there is a green glow coming from the bed of the scanner.  Everything that Scans, scans green.  HELP!
