Thanks! So is the scan driver included in the print driver download, or how does that work?

Check this video tutorial. If you still cannot install the driver please provide the error message or print screen.

Use this guide to set up the network scan.

Re: Phaser 6180 MFP Setting Up Scanning to a Computer on a Network Macintosh

Thank you for responding, but I don't think this addresses my issue. The link you sent is for USB. I am scanning over a network, not USB.

I did download the dirvers, but for some reason when I tried to install them, it didn't work.

Anyone else have any other ideas?

Re: Phaser 6180 MFP Setting Up Scanning to a Computer on a Network Macintosh

Hi,

Best thing to do is to download the last driver from the xerox website.

Check this guide for the scan software.

Phaser 6180 MFP Setting Up Scanning to a Computer on a Network Macintosh

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I have a Phaser 6180 MFP that I purchased somewhere around 2007. The setup guide that came with the MFP was written for the system software I was running at that time, OSX 10.4.5.  Now, I have a new iMac running Mavericks. I am confused. How do I set up this new machine for printing & scanning? Do I install the old drivers that came on the CD and then download and install the new drivers on the Xerox site that came out this year?

Also, I need to know how to set up scanning to a computer on a network (Mac). The instruction booklet is outdated and does not match the newer OSX systems.

Anyone have any ideas?
